Environmental Protection:

Global Village International has environmental protection programs such as water and waste activities, habitat and home environmental activities, land protection activities, environmental education and venue activities, and also programs dealing with recycling and renewable resources.

Water and Waste Activities:

Our objective is to protect the environment from the adverse effects of urban waste water discharges and discharges from certain industrial sectors.

Habitat and Home Environment Activities:

Habitat Conservation examines the relationship between habitat and ecosystem dynamics. Over the last decade scientists have made advances in their understanding of this relationship and this has had major impacts on their approach to nature conservation management.

Land Protection Activities:

The US Land Protection Division has diverse duties. It inspects and permits hazardous waste and solid waste treatment, storage and disposal facilities, permits and inspects certain underground injection wells, manages radioactive materials, restores contaminated land to safe and useful conditions (Brownfields, Superfund, Voluntary Cleanup and Land Restoration) and also coordinates agency environmental education for K-12, higher education and the general public.

Environmental Education and Venue Activities:

The world has a fixed amount of natural resources - some of which are already depleted. So as population growth greatly strains our finite resources, there are fewer resources available.

Recycling and Renewable Resources:

Recycling is the third R of the three R’s: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Recycling means taking a product or material at the end of its useful life and turning it into a usable raw material to make another product.
